Ever heard of StackExchange forums?

StackExchange is a network of Q&A websites. Each site is dedicated to a topic, but they don’t currently have one that’s tax / accounting focused.

You can help change that by joining and following the proposed Accounting Q&A site. One neat thing about StackExchange sites are the profiles. You can see who earns the most kudos and who knows, it may even turn into a great marketing tool for your personal brand.

Even if you’re not interested, the sites cover all sorts of topics and unless you’re extremely boring, you’ll find something that holds your attention.

We’re Back: Better, Stronger, Faster Tax Research

After a few years in the back of the storage closet, TaxSearch.org (FKA GlobalTaxLaws.com) has a new coat of paint and improved search performance. We hope you like the changes.

If you find any bugs, let us know and please share any resources you think we should add to our site.

Have you published papers or relevant information online? Do you want to? Drop a comment with a link to your tax law paper or a way to get in touch so we can include you.

eCommerce Sales Tax Research

The least risky solution, but also the most onerous, is to collect sales tax on EVERYTHING, but taking this path comes with it’s own hidden risks…like staying in business.

Key Issues & Questions

Interstate Commerce Clause &emdash; Your rights under the United States Constitution.
Nexus &emdash; Do your business activities in a jurisdiction subject you to local tax laws?
